Rathos
Rathos was born to a very
wealthy family of The Plateau. Since as a child Rathos was full of
enthusiasm (to put it mildly), his parents thought it might be best for him
to get some structure in his life and maybe learn a thing or too about the
world. They decided to send him to the Bardic College of Icefia with his dog
Karsley to learn from some of the best scholars in the world. However,
once at the bardic college, they also found his enthusiasm too much handle,
so they decided to give Rathos an opportunity to 'study' off-campus.
They gave him an assignment to keep tabs on a few cultists that had been
seen working together. Two were followers of Drunnbar, a paladin named
Grimdrek and a monk named Reik; and one was an up and coming cleric of
Hemator named Solaris. The college's intentions were two fold.
One, to gain knowledge about these individuals; and two, to hope some of
their more structured and law-abiding ways of life might rub off on Rathos.
Their influence was great on Rathos and he did learn to prioritize much
better and to be more selfless. Rathos' adventuring with these
individuals has allowed him to hone his innate acrobatic skills and also
gave him some combat experience.
Rathos returned to the college and with everything he learned from the
cultists he was able to handle the structure of the college and work on his
way to getting a degree. Rathos also has learned to master his
acrobatic skills at the college, but he still always find time for a good
party and a good woman. Rathos enjoys the college life so much that he
is trying to stay as long as possible. It doesn't hurt that his father
still sends him a monthly stipend to pay for expenses.
Rathos has recently been spending a lot of time in Port Phiam mostly to
enjoy a new party scene. Rathos can often be found at, The Landen
Table and the Crate. He also recently has been spending a lot of time
at a massage parlor and seems to know the ladies very well.
