The Silent Shadow of Lynkeed
Little is
known of this mysterious figure, not even his true identity.
He was left at
the Orphanage of
Lynkeed before the age of 8, in 757 AC. The clerics of Tyrogatore
took him in and trained him as they do all orphans that came to them.
He learned to fight unarmed, but proved that he was versatile and
intelligent. Because of that, the clerics and brothers trained him in
a diverse field of skills. In, 768 AC, he left the orphanage with the
blessings of the brothers. He had fought to free the city from Orcish
rule. That having been accomplished, the Shadow was granted leave to
travel the world. When he was at the orphanage, he met
Haas but the other orphans that fled the orphanage
with the relics had not arrived or were not old enough to know him by the
time he left.
For fourteen
years, he traveled Habololy. He had many adventures. He never
stayed in one place for too long, making only slight acquaintances.
The shadow spent some time trying to determine where he came from, but never
discovered anything of his origins. He attended the Graplore in
Cadullon in 775 AC. He visited all three of the other great temples of
Tyrogatore. He spent a short period of time traveling with
Lair Davius, well known wanderer and
competitor in the Graplore. He met Bartlet Felltree, the Graplore
champion of 675 AC. He fought Wugs in the Halfling Forest and Fire
Giants in Jaswap.
In 782 AC, he
returned to Lynkeed. There, he was angered to learn that the orcs had
once again taken control on the temple and the city. Worse, they were
now also looking to control another temple of Tyrogatore in Palumbton.
A tournament was
being held to crown a new high cleric there. Shadow was sent to try
and win that tournament and stop the orcs. Shadow did not win the
tournament. He instead traveled with another competitor, Grant, to the
Halfling Forest. There, he joined with other orphans Haas and Lennie
to raise a coalition to stop the orcish army.
Once the orcs
had been defeated, Shadow took on the mission of returning to Lynkeed to
free the temple of orcish rule. He spent the next year accomplishing
that mission.
