Rubius Humperdink
Rubius is a simple Halfling
with simple tastes, simple interests, and a simple lifestyle. He has
spent his entire life in the Halfling town of Romand’s Rest as a farmer,
philosopher, father, husband, and chef. When he was a little older, he
served the Halfling militia against the Wugs in the Boiled Forest as a scout
and soldier. He was quick to lay down his arms as he is not prone to
violence. After his military service ended, he served his community as a
gentle leader and quiet role model supplying food, entertainment, education,
and an overall sense of comfort and good luck to his community. Within
the last two years, the peaceful town of Romand’s Rest has been victim to
attacks by mysterious beasts. Members of the community have been missing or
found dead in the surrounding forest. Rubius generally assisted with the
search groups for his friends, but refused to take up arms. Recently,
his wife Emelda was abducted by an unknown darkness during dinner with their
children. Rubius, refusing to leave his children motherless, swore to
find his precious Emelda and reluctantly set out to find her.
