Korda
The butt of a cruel cosmic
joke, Korda is a young man who has been plagued by the most challenging
obstacles in life. When only the young age of 5, Korda witnessed his parents
cold blooded murder at the hands of Brigands in his home town of Bemord. He
watched on from a covered hiding place as his father was brutally murdered
as he stood up to the brigands. He watched on in horror as his mother ran
away from the brigands towards him and was run down and killed from behind.
The laughter of the Brigands on that day still haunts his nightmares.
Orphaned, Korda became a street urchin. Living off of food townsfolk were
kind enough to provide. During a time of famine, when the townsfolk could
barely feed their own children let alone an orphan, Korda left Bemord to try
to eek out a living. For a few years he wandered small towns and villages.
He found out early on in those years that his name was to bring him trouble
for the rest of his life. Many were the fights Korda was in because of his
name. Too this day Korda does not know why his parents cursed him with the
Surname of the legendary Warrior Larius Korda.
It was during one of those fights that Korda’s soon-to-be master, Atuk,
found him. After rescuing Korda from a small gang of street-toughs, Atuk
taught Korda the basics of unarmed combat.
Most recently, in their quest to transport the artifacts of Tyrogatore to
the temple in Jaswap, Korda was accidentally slain by his companion Lennie.
Korda continues to fight on however, thanks to the benevolence of a Cleric
of Habastly who reincarnated him.
