Haas

An orphan of the 3rd Jumping War, Haas was raised at the Temple of Tyrogatore in Lynkeed from infancy. He was unique to the Orphanage in that his long lifespan and associated slow development kept him at the Temple far longer than any other student. By the time he reached adulthood, he had spent nearly half a century immersed in the faith, and knew nothing but the simplistic and physical ways of the Lizard King. It came as a surprise to no one when he joined the clerical ranks to pursue Tyrogatore's divine path.

Having none of his own, Haas considers his teachers and fellow students as his family, of which he plays the role of big brother. He often finds himself in a leadership role amongst his brothers, a position which he only reluctantly fulfills. He blames himself for the death of his brother Pith on their journey to Jaswap, and now finds himself second guessing most of his decisions. He has since become overly protective of his his remaining brothers. After securing the relics they carried from Lynkeed to Jaswap, only Haas and Lennie returned to the Orphanage to free their home from Orcish rule.

Haas is a young and focused dwarf, taller than most dwarves with a build that is not exceptionally strong, but is exceptionally well defined from the constant sparring and training that is the hallmark of the clergy of Tyrogatore. His hair is a dark brown and kept in a crew cut, with a very closely cropped beard. He has been given two tattoos which proclaim his faith: an image of a necklace bearing the symbol of Tyrogatore that encircles his neck, and a very detailed blessed tattoo of dark green lizard-like scales covering his right arm.

"Haas is completely devoted to the ways of Tyrogatore, and as such will never use manufactured weapons or armor. He has a profound appreciation for the simplistic and brutal effectiveness of pugilism, and is a formally trained boxer, so he has no qualms about entering melee. If the situation permits, Haas uses his spells to enhance himself and his allies before combat begins. He has learned to channel his inner focus to cast blessings, and uses it when he must access spells he does not normally prepare.

Haas stands his ground in a fight, sometimes to a fault, and is quite fond of humiliating his opponents by knocking them on their backs. He values the well-being of his Orphanage brothers over his own safety, and will invariably place himself in harm's way to aid them."

Pith Memorial Tattoo
After Pith's death on their journey to Jaswap, Haas had this tattoo crafted at the High Temple to serve as a tribute to his fallen Gatori "brother." A 2-inch thick black band surrounds the biceps of Haas' right arm. The rest of his arm, from the bottom of the band all the way down to the knuckles, is covered in dark green, lizard-like scales. Blessed by Tyrogatore, this tattoo allows Haas to be treated as one size category larger for all opposed combat rolls, such as trip attempts and grapples. It alo grants him a +1 natural AC bonus.
