The
possible bloodlines a sorcerer may have are detailed on this screen.
Somewhere in the past, this sorcerer is related to a celestial. More
removed than a half-celestial or an Aasimar, but not so far as to not
have no effect. The angelic bloodline makes up fewer than 5 percent of
all of the sorcerers. Habololy is rarely visited by the creatures of
the upper planes that are not only temporarily summoned. Sorcerers of
this bloodline will often feel compelled to change the world. They have
an innate sense that where they are in not right and should be more like
someplace else. That someplace else is the plane of the celestial that
they have as an ancestor.

Somewhere in the past, this sorcerer is related to one of the deities.
Chances are that this relation is centuries removed, but not
necessarily. The least common bloodline is often the most easy to
identify. Sorcerers with divine ancestry immediately gravitate towards
the religion of their patron. Almost without exception, they become
champions of their patron’s faith. The exception to this rule is when a
sorcerer’s patron denounces the idea of a sorcerer. In this case, the
sorcerer, who generally assumes his patron is going to make an exception
and looks to join the faithful. When the sorcerer is discovered, he is
at best cast out and more often imprisoned or killed.

Somewhere in the past, this sorcerer is related to a creature of the
lower planes. More removed than a half-fiend or a Tiefling, but not so
far as to not have no effect. The demonic bloodline makes up fewer
than 5 percent of all of the sorcerers, and there is only slightly more
of this bloodline than the angelic one. Habololy is rarely visited by
the creatures of the lower planes that are not only temporarily
summoned. Much like their angelic counterparts, sorcerers of this
bloodline will often feel compelled to change the world. They also have

someplace else. That someplace else is the plane of the creature that
they have as an ancestor.

About one in ten sorcerers call a dragon an ancestor. These sorcerers’
vary greatly in their view of the world based on the outlook of the
dragon that helped spawn them. Two things do not change with
sorcerers of the draconic bloodline. One is that they are all in direct
danger from the dragonslayers, who treat them as if they are no
different from a dragon. Luckily for the sorcerers, the drop in dragon
sightings has led to a drop in dragonslayers and in increase in the
sorcerers’ general safety. The second is that the dragon that played a
part in the sorcerer’s life has limited mental bond with the sorcerer.
This link, however, is one way from dragon to sorcerer. Somewhere in
the past, this sorcerer is related to a dragon that mated with a member
of the sorcerer’s family while in humanoid form.

Somewhere in the past, one of the sorcerer’s relatives was exposed to
the pure energies of an elemental plane. The effect has left a mark on
the bloodline that may never disappear. There are few sorcerers with an
elemental bloodline. The few that exist often withdraw from their
society. They feel alien and detached, becoming hermits. More than any
other bloodline is drawn to any one prestige class; the elemental
bloodline is drawn to the Elemental Caster class. Over half of the
sorcerers with this bloodline take on that prestige class.

This is the strangest of all of the bloodlines. For some reason, the
forces of magic have made their way into the sorcerer and her family, on
a level beyond what most can tolerate. Their origins are unknown, but
they have an affinity for creation and charm. This is one of the two
best represented bloodlines. Nearly one third of all sorcerers belong
to it. This has lead to the belief that there must be many ways for the
magic to become embedded into the existence of a creature. There are
few commonalities between sorcerers with this bloodline. They come from
all different places, from many different races, and from all ethical
and moral backgrounds.

Somewhere in the past, this sorcerer is related to a faerie; whether it
is a Sprite, Pixie, Nymph, etc. This bloodline is only matched by
the enchantment bloodline in its number. While the celestials and the
creatures of the lower planes rarely visit Habololy of their own accord,
the faerie folk often do. Although their main point of entry is the
great forest, the faeries have made it to virtually every nations and
land, as well as into the sky and in the sea. The sorcerers of faerie
lineage always seek to create change and humor, which often equates to
mischief. They are often allied, in deed if not mind, with the faith of
Compture and the gremlins.

Similar in ways to the enchantment bloodline, the shadowy line occurs
when an individual is the recipient of a near fatal dose of negative
energy. On rare occasions, this could also be a result of a parent of
grandparent having been the target of the negative energy. There
number of sorcerers with this bloodline is right in the middle compared
to the other bloodlines. There are concentrations of sorcerers of this
bloodline in Icefia, on Ekarude, and in and around Intoria. In other
places, it is far less common. Much like the enchantment
bloodline, sorcerers with this background come from all walks of
existence, with the exception that no race is immune to the possible
taint of negative energy.
